2006 BLACKLIP Port Lincoln Shiraz |
Deep red. Cinnamon and spice with mulberry fruit. A serious Shiraz. Mulberry and rich red plum fruit flavours frame this wine with spicy oak complexity. Lincoln Estate is a maritime vineyard only 10kms from the coast. This climate along with the rich soils full of iron stone give a real complexity and depth to the wine. Drinkable now, however cellaring for 5-6 years will see the wine develop further complexity. |

2004 BLACKLIP Port Lincoln Shiraz |
This wine shows depth of flavour while having a great line and length to the palate, the berry fruit offers sweetness and intensity to combine with the nutty, coffee oak flavours. A real mouthful. |
| 14% alc/vol - Bottled March 2007 - 1700 doz made. |

2003 BLACKLIP Port Lincoln Shiraz
|
COLOUR: Deep purple/red colour
NOSE: Very attractive aromas of ripe satsuma plums, black pepper and star anise, intermingled with vanilla and mocha characters derived from the oak - plenty going on here.
PALATE: The palate displays similar characters as the aroma with eastern spices dominating the flavour profile as well as some lovely soft, plummy fruit balancing the oak, acid and tannins of the wine. Quite concentrated really.
ALCOHOL: 15.0%
BOTTLED: October 2004 ~ 415 dozen
NOTES: I have no doubt this wine will drink beautifully over the next 5-6 years minimum.. |
